    Located 3,700 kilometres off of Chile's coast, Easter Island, called Rapa Nui by its native Polynesian residents, has long held a mystical sway over travellers. Over the next 2 days you will explore some of the island's most famous archaeological monuments with your guide and visit stunning natural scenery.

    Day 3: Explore Easter Island

    Begin today with visits to Hanga Roa village and the temple of Vaihu. You will continue to Akahanga Archaeological Centre to see the moai here before stopping at Rano Raraku, a volcanic crater where the stone for the moai were quarried and the figures were carved. Enjoy a hike up to the crater. Continue to Ahu Tongariki to admire 15 huge moai and the beautiful Anakena Beach, an area considered the cradle of Rapa Nui culture.
