When does the Rocky Mountaineer run?

When does the Rocky Mountaineer run?

The Rocky Mountaineer is in operation between April and October with twice-weekly departures.

In late spring, you'll experience cooler temperatures - perfect for exploring! This is also when you can witness the flowers blooming (even in the desert) and rushing rivers and waterfalls thanks to the melting snow.
Summer can be very hot in the desert (motorcoaches and train coaches are air-conditioned) - it will be slightly cooler, and exceptionally beautiful in the mountains as the landscapes come to life.
Early autumn sees the leaves beginning to change colours - a spectacular thing to see. It's also cooler across the Southwest so great for getting around.
