"We are never satisfied until you come back and travel with us again" - Wendy Wu, Founder & Chairwoman

At Wendy Wu Tours, we want to know what you think about the service you receive when you book with us and what you thought about your tour itself. It's this vital information that helps us to improve in the future.

With this in mind, we have teamed up with independent review company feefo. Once you have made a booking or returned from one of our tours, you'll receive an email from feefo asking you to rate your experience with us.

We then display these reviews right here, completely untouched by us, so you can trust them 100%.

We were humbled to receive so much positive feedback from clients affected by the onset of the Coronavirus crisis. We hope the positive experience of customers, who still managed to enjoy their tours even as the pandemic hit, shows how wonderful your experience will be once we all get travelling again.

We also have more fantastic reviews from around the globe on TripAdvisor, including many 5 star!

Laos and Cambodia Unveiled

Thursday 20 Mar 2025
Overview Rating:
Our Tour: Excellent
We were a little apprehensive about all the food being provided. Would it be mostly buffet style? Would it be cold? In fact the food throughout the tour was all freshly-prepared, very flavoursome, plentiful and varied. Wendy Wu had clearly put a lot of thought into the tour. The itinerary worked very well and was at just the right pace for us. We had separate tour guides in Laos and Cambodia and both were excellent. I really liked Vientiane, Luang Prabang, Siem Reap and most of all the whole Angkor Wat complex. I think Luang Prabang was my wife's favourite place.

The photo below was taken from a boat on the moat to Angkor Thom in Cambodia.

Our Tour: Good
Mostly very positive

Thiep, the guide in Vietnam, was excellent.
The guide in Laos was good. The guide in Cambodia was very pleasant but left me behind when I gave way to a large group of children so I visited Angkor Wat, the main reason for my booking the tour, mostly on my own.

A more central location in Luang Prabang would have been appreciated - to be able to relax in the town

The Vietnam airlines booking was a big mix up with the wrong data inserted for one passenger. So early choice of seats was not possible. More info on alternative flights at the booking stage would have been helpful as we would have preferred to arrive in HCM not Hanoi.

The trip was well planned and executed. The guide was knowledgeable and helpful. The trip involved a lot of driving along rough roads, to get from Luang Prabang to the plain of Jars and then on to Van Vieng, which was unavoidable, but not comfortable after driving all day just looking out of the bus window.

Our Tour: Good
Overall a very good holiday, guides were excellent and all arrangements worked well. The only suggested improvement was to the chosen hotels in Luang Prabang and Vientiane. Both were located too far away from the city centre and night life.

Thanks for the feedback Stewart, I'll pass this over to our Product Team and let them know your thoughts. Jimmy

GRAND TOUR OF INDOCHINA

Service rating :

The tour from start to finish was excellently structured and organised. The tour guides on each leg of the tour were exceptional. Their knowledge and their caring of their ‘family’ made the whole tour a great experience. Nothing was too much trouble

Product :

Overall everything was excellent. I would add that the Le Duy Hotel in Saigon was not the best. Whilst clean and tidy, the facilities were very basic. No room for everyone to congregate, no real bar area.
The Mercury Vientiane was a tired looking hotel with regards to the rooms and we had cockroaches.
In Laos we visited the Ban Na Ouane village which none of our group enjoyed. The children being used to sell goods to the tourists in that way was awful. A better visit would have been to the Heritage House in Luang Prabang which we did ourselves. Very good

Would have proffered to go to Luang Prabang from Bankok airport rather than spend a night in Bankok when starting the holiday
