It was the worst holiday ever

Online booking friendly and eficient

The standard of guides was very poor as all of us on the tour had great difficulty in understanding them. The restaurants we were taken to were also sub-standard and the meals were of poor quality, lacking in variety and tepid. there was too much time spent on coach/mini-buses in heavy traffic. Wendy Wu needs to improve their administration skills as things did not run smoothly. All in all, this tour was a huge disappointment and was not good value.

I enjoyed Thailand and the itinerary was good, but for me the holiday was spoiled by the tour guide whose communication and organisation were poor. Also we missed seeing the Doi Tung Palace and Mae Fah Luang Garden as they were not on the tour guides itinerary.

Thailand the country, the people, the sites were all lovely We visited temples, palaces, elephants, tea plantations, hill tribes, floating markets, museums and the Burma Railway memorials. We had four river trips in different type of boats and traveled as a small group in a coach then later five in individual very comfortable minibuses with our own drivers. Every hotel we stayed in offered a different experience , but we always had large, comfortable and clean accommodation with excellent and breakfasts service. We had opted to spend 5 days in Cambodia, in the two Major locations where we had our own guides and drivers , two more river trips and, as elsewhere well organised air transfers. Every one looking after us was kind and helpful, Natalie even arranged for me to visit a war grave of a villager who was a POW and was buried a few miles from the war grave cemetery on the itinerary while the rest of the group was in the museum.
We wanted to explore two new countries and for us it was an amazing experience.

Excellent itinerary, food and restaurants ok (except for one which was of very poor standard), transport/drivers very good. The only disappointment
unfortunately was the tour guides organization and lack of information on sites visited.

The initial part of the holiday was disappointing from Day 1 during our stay in Bangkok. Unfortunately, there was some language barrier as well as limited local knowledge and poor planning. The Guide sought assistance from me as well. She failed to do head counts on each trip and I was left behind with another holiday maker. We had to advice her. We were given another male guide at tge 2nd lap and his accent had been difficult for many to understand. There were a number of catalogue of errors. I will recommend tge holiday bur tge guides have to be better informed.

Natasha answered my questions proficiently and this decided on my booking a tour for next year.
Also Wendy Wu tours were recommended by a work colleague.

Holiday was great, flight times not so good. Arrived in Bangkok at 06.00, hotel at 08.15, room not available until 14.00. First of the group to arrive and last to leave. Flight back even worse, left Chiang Mia at 21.05 arrived Heathrow 06.15
