The capital and largest city of Tajikistan is named after the most disliked day of the week – Monday and developed from a village that had a famous Monday market. The Dushanbinka River splits the town with the eastern half being the most popular to tourist, with Rudaki Avenue monopolising this area.

A city where soviet era meets modern-day life without detracting from what makes it uniquely Tajik. Rudaki Park has several fountains and monuments, including Ismoil Somoni Statue, founder of the Samanid Dynasty in the 10th century. The culture is shaped around art, food, music and festivals that the locals have preserved for many years.

An authentic, intrinsically rooted culture surrounded by lakes, mountains and waterfalls where you learn about ancient society.
